The plant of the church has cross form, and is located watching the east, becuse it was common to direct the churches towards Jerusalem. The construction of the temple finalized towards 1259, time of transition between romanesque and the gothic styles, which is reflected in the structure of the temple, where there can be seen harmonically mixed elements of both styles.
The phases of the construction of the temple can be deduced clearly of the transition of the styles: The center of the temple was constructed following the early Romanesque style; later the head and the arm of the cross were constructed in simple gothic style; and finally the lateral chapels in an advanced gothic style.
